With the regular season now over, the Jets can start forming their roster for 2019.
In doing so, New York signed C Jon Toth, OT Dieugot Joseph and WR DeAngelo Yancey to reserve/future contracts. All were on the practice squad this season.
Yancey, originally a Packers draft pick in 2017 out of Purdue, was signed to the Jets practice squad a couple weeks ago after spending a year and half in Green Bay. At Purdue, Yancey tallied 141 catches, 2,344 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.
Toth went undrafted in 2017 out of Kentucky but didn’t get signed until after his rookie year due to a back injury. The Eagles gave him a shot but decided to cut him this past summer.
As for Joseph, he also went undrafted in 2017 before signing with the Bears later on. He then joined the Ravens and Vikings. Minnesota signed him to a reserve/future contract in January, but he was released this summer.
