NFL free agency rumors: Bills have offered contract to former Jets WR Terrelle Pryor | NFL

The Bills are looking to add a wide receiver.

Buffalo has offered a contract to free agent Terrelle Pryor, according to a report from ESPN, which cites an unidentified league source. He recently visited with the Bills and is considering accepting the deal, the report says.

Bills coach Sean McDermott confirmed during an interview with Buffalo station WGR 550 that the team had met with Pryor.

The Jets cut the 29-year-old wide receiver — who was dealing with a groin injury — earlier this month. But, Pryor told ESPN shortly after his release he was close to 100-percent healthy and had already been contacted by several teams.

The seven-year veteran signed a one-year contract with New York in March. He caught 14 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns in six games for the Jets.

Pryor revealed to reporters in mid-August that he broke his ankle during an offseason workout and underwent surgery. He also said in early October he was unhappy with his role in the Jets’ offense.
