Todd Bowles insists everything is just fine between him and GM Mike Maccagnan.
The Jets head coach denied a report from Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News that said there was “friction and passive aggressive petulance” between Bowles and Maccagnan.
“I’m not big on responding to articles, but there’s never been any tension between me or anybody else in this building,” Bowles told SNY’s Jeane Coakley on Friday.
The Jets currently stand at 3-9 in the midst of a six-game losing streak with many expecting Bowles to be relieved of his duties as head coach by the end of the year.
But the Daily News reports that it is not just the losing, but neither Maccagnan nor Bowles respect each other’s vision to identify talent and build a plan for success.
“It’s a professional place,” Bowles added. “Lot of good people in here. We treat people the same way. Unfortunate someone has their own agenda on their mind.”
